CFFCA FUNDRAISING

CFFCA FUNDRAISING PROGRAM

The CFFCA periodically conducts a telemarketing fundraising campaign to support our Provincial Associations and to assist with the costs of staging our annual National Championship.

In addition to supporting each Provincial Association and our Championship we also provide funding to various charities in Canada. In 2020 we donated $47,500 to Muscular Dystrophy Canada to help in their fight against neuromuscular disease; $40,000 to the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation, an organization created to honour and remember firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty and to support their families; and $40,000 to Food Bank Canada at a time when their services all across the country were much needed.

In 2023 we again supported Muscular Dystrophy Canada with a contribution of $75,000, bringing our total donated to MDC over the past 9 years to over $825,000. In addition, we allocated $10,000 to each Provincial Association to provide assistance to a charity or organization in their area. So far we have been able to help the following organizations across Canada:

The donation will be used in assisting those most impacted in the most affected areas by the wildfires in Nova Scotia.

The Government of Canada and the Government of Nova Scotia matched every dollar donated to the Canadian Red Cross – Nova Scotia wildfires. This means that our donation of $5000 became $15,000.
